"This is Your Payback Season"

“This is Your Payback Season!”

While in prayer, I kept hearing the Lord proclaim, “Recompense! Recompense! Recompense!” As I prayed again the following day, I clearly heard Him say, “I am the Lord God of recompense.” He most certainly had my attention, which led me to a search that would take me deep into a revelation of one of the many names of God. The name I’m speaking of is Jehovah Gmolah, the Lord God of Recompense.

After the Lord gave me this revelation of His name, I began to sing and declare, “You are Jehovah Gmolah, the Lord God of recompense.” As I sang, the room was filled with the presence of God. I felt a prophetic anointing come upon me, and I began to prophesy, “Recompense is on its way to you. God’s rewards are overtaking you.” Not only did I feel the prophetic come upon me then, but even as I write now, the Lord’s prophetic unction is upon me to prophesy to you! Receive the word of God. God’s power is now toward you to recompense you for all your labor and all your righteous acts!

“Cast not away, therefore, your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward” (Heb. 10:35).

In the Bible, the word recompense has multiple interpretations. Some convey the word in a positive way, and others reflect it in a negative one. It can be translated as “repayment, benefit, compensation, retaliation, requital, or reward.” The primary definitions are “to repay and reward. A mystery began to unravel to me about this name, Jehovah Gmolah. I learned it carries the promise to repay, to restore, and to bring justice.

Throughout the Scriptures, there are countless instances where God demonstrated His nature as the God of Recompense, from the stories of the Israelites experiencing deliverance from their oppressors to the assurance of restoration found in the prophetic writings. It became clear to me that God’s character is solidly linked with the act of recompense.

When we think about God’s judgment, many of us associate it with negativity, imagining Him as wrathful and eager to unleash His anger upon us. However, I heard the Lord say to tell you His judgment is not against you; it is in favor of you, “I am rendering My judgment in your favor and have ruled against your adversary. Recompense is coming to you. Moreover, This is your PAYBACK season. I have kept a record of every seed you’ve planted, and nothing has gone unnoticed by Me. I have seen the times the enemy has stolen from you, and now the thief will have to repay sevenfold more times back to you.”

In the Book of Exodus, the Hebrews endured the harsh reality of slavery under the Egyptians, laboring tirelessly without any form of payment. They endured cruelty and suffering, yet God took notice of their pain and cry for help. In response, He raised up Moses as a deliverer for His people. God has heard your cry, too, and He has already paved a path for your deliverance. He has ensured, like He did for the children of Israel, that you will not emerge empty-handed from your trials and hardships. Just as the Hebrews were led out of Egypt with the riches of their oppressors in hand, you, too, will see a turnaround. The chains of your past are being broken, and you are being set free to embrace a future filled with hope and abundance.

35 And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses; and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of gold, and raiment: 36 And the Lord gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians, so that they lent unto them such things as they required. And they spoiled the Egyptians” (Exo.12:35–36).

Once Israel left Egypt, the Lord guided them on the longer route through the wilderness and the Red Sea instead of the shorter one through the land of the Philistines. God was not done with His judgment against Pharaoh; He hardened his heart, compelling him to chase after the Hebrews. Despite enduring the plagues while God’s people remained safe in Goshen, the Egyptians still failed to grasp that the living God was fighting on behalf of Israel. The Lord was preparing to deliver His recompense upon the wicked Pharaoh.

When Israel saw the Egyptians approaching, they were consumed with fear and cried out to the Lord for help.

“And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today” (Exo. 14:13, NKJV).

God commanded Moses to lift his rod and stretch out his hand over the Red Sea, allowing the Israelites to go forward in the midst of the sea. Listen here! The Lord says that just as He did for them, He is doing for you. No longer will you be trapped. You are moving forward!

The story doesn’t end there. As Israel crossed over, the Egyptians went in after them, giving the children of Israel their payback season! God, Himself, fought against their enemies!

“And the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians” (Exo. 14:13, 24, NKJV).

As we exit 2024 and enter 2025, you will experience the justice of God against your enemy! His reward is coming to you! In fact, it has already begun. Can you sense it? Walls of impossibility are falling, and barriers are being demolished. I just now saw in a vision a person desperately trying to move forward and progress, only to be stopped by an obstruction. But eventually, the barriers were dismantled, allowing them to gain momentum. That is precisely what God is doing for you! Every demonic spirit sent to sabotage your destiny has to go NOW! Jehovah Gmolah, the Lord God of Recompense, is ready to move, intervene, and reward you in this season.
